Flora, fauna and habitat assessments require a variety of specialist equipment.  BAAM owns all of the necessary equipment for terrestrial vertebrate and invertebrate surveys and aquatic vertebrate and invertebrate surveys.  This includes specialist equipment such as ANABAT and ZCAIM recorders, Elliot and cage traps, harp traps, night scopes and field telescopes.  All staff are equipped with cameras, mobile phones, GPS units and first aid kits.

Company vehicles with appropriate capabilities and safety features are used to carry out field investigations.

Office equipment includes microscopes and sample sorting equipment, desktop and notebook computers, up-to-date software, a comprehensive professional book, CD, journal and grey literature collection, printers, binders and shredders.
